JULIE GOLOB’S MATCH REPORT FOR THE S&W INDOOR NATIONALS

Because everyone loves Julie Golob.

If you don’t know who she is, you are a bad person. Okay, maybe not bad…just uninformed. Julie G. is a big time champion (first and only 6 division USPSA national champion in history) and the team captain for S&W. She is also a hunter, wife, mommy (probably one onf the coolset ladies in the world to have as a mom) veteran and a published author. Check out her book SHOOT .

CORRECTION TO M16-14SF KNIFE REVIEW

I mentioned in the M16-14SF knife review that the legal maximum blade length is 3 inches in WA state. After being corrected by a reader, and researching it myself; I found that WA State does not in fact have any RCWs (Revised Code of Washinton) stating the legal limit on blade length. It is important to note however, that some cities have laws regarding blade length. For instance, maximum legal blade length in Seattle is 3.5inches. My apologies for the incorrect information initially given in the article, it has been edited to reflect the information brought  to light.… Read the rest

THIS WEEKS READING MATERIAL LIST

Image representing Google Reader as depicted i...

As an avid shooter, gun lover and personal protection blogger, reading is a huge part of my day. My Google reader is chalk full of only my very favorite blogs as I don’t have the time to read every new  gun related article that hits the internet. Lately, I have been finding some real pots of gold and precious gems of written literature by other bloggers. Some of these make me laugh, other make me raise my mug of tea in a toast to what the author is saying. … Read the rest

CONFESSIONS OF A GUNAHAULIC – What is wrong with me?

My Sprinfield XD .40 subcompact with the extended magaizne, and my 4.5 in XDM 9mm in PINK!

So I was at the range teaching an Intro to Oregon (and FL) Concealed Carry  class on Saturday. Everything was pretty much status quoe, but when we got to the live shooting portion, I shot terrible on my demos. I was pretty irritated with myself; so after class I shot about 200 rounds of 9mm through my XDM  (also known as the Pink Gun of Shame) very slowly so I could concentrate on the fundamentals.… Read the rest

CRKT M16-14SF-TANTO: KNIFE REVIEW AND VIDEO

CRKT M16-14SF Tanto

Note: I made the following video to be watched as a supplement to the written review below. The video alone does not contain my complete review.

THE SPECS:

SIZE:

When I received the M16-14SF in the mail from CRKT, I was ecstatic about the size of the knife. As I always say with firearms and knives alike, bigger is better. The M16 surely meets any size standards I may have on a pocket folder. The one problem I face is that I cannot legally carry this knife out and about as the blade is 3.875 inches as my local city limit on blade length is 3.5in.… Read the rest
